Small but big
« on: February 08, 2020, 04:51:05 PM »
Went out today and only managed two small fish but I now I've caught fish in Jan and Feb in open water in New England. Looks like I'll be able to catch in the rest of the months of the year as long as I can get them next Dec. The will be my 3rd calendar slam.

You're definitely heartier than I am. I want nothing to do with being in my boat when it's 35 degrees  :nope:

@Curt - RI , my passion for catching fish has only gotten stronger as I get older. Fishing in extreme conditions makes it all the more rewarding, and I'd like to think if I decided to go back to tourney fishing that I've fished in any possible condition the day would bring. But I doubt I'd go back, to much fun filling my boat with fish.  (giggle) ,@Joe P , it won't be long, even if the ice comes back it won't get thick.

As I get older, I like it warmer  (giggle)

My wife and I have actually entertained the idea of moving to FL more than once in the last few years, just to get away from Winter and be able to fish 12 months out of the year, instead of 7-8 months.

@curt, I have always thought that one house in Maine and one in Tennessee would be the perfect combo. Need to fill my 401k first. Lol
