sunday 6am to 12pm, the ramp is accessable, although the road going in is a little rough. there are pilings across the lake in two different areas for bridges. the water is a little cloudy from all the construction but that didnt stop the fish from hitting. we had 8 boats and the fish were biting very good.there was 1 5lber and 1 4+lber caught.every one got fish,1st place was 14lb6oz 2nd 12lb4oz and 3rd was 10lb3oz. not a bad day at all. this weekend is billings, does anyone have any info to share? hows the fishing there this year, any info would help. thanks mike.

Northeast U.S. Fishing Reports / Pickerel lake

Date;6/6/04  Time:6am to 12pm
Water temp:65 to 68 degrees
Weather:cloudy, cool with mist and showers and a very strong wind.

We had 8 boats in the tourny and all caught fish.6 boats had limits. there were a lot of good quality fish caught, including 2 in the 6lb range and at least 8 in the 3 lb range. even though everyone was cold and wet we all had a good time there. pickerel lake is an awesome fishery, its almost all weeded and there is a lot of structure. We started at 6am and by 7:15 I had my limit,Throughout the 6 hours I managed to cull 8 times. The fish seemed to be holding on the weed clumps floating all over the lake. Most all fish were caught on spinnerbaits and plastic worms(senkos). Its a fun lake and I would reccommend it to everyone.

Hey discovery, I have a 18,6 triton and I was running 27,s with a 74 lb thrust minn kota, well I could not run all day without killing them. I like to troll  around pretty fast and I needed more power. I bought two gell cell batteries from a freind who sells them and let me tell you. I can run TWO days without charging them. there great! you dont have to worry about refilling them they are smaller in size and weigh a little less then the 27,s. I highly recommend them. They cost a little more, about $160 apiece but they are supposed to last about 5 years.
