Ya, we're finally there!

I have yet to see any beds, although I'm sure they are happening right now. I just haven't been in the right places at the right time.

Honestly, with a Crawdad, you can just look for a used small flatbed trailer. I picked one up a few years ago that a guy had for sale for $100, just down the road from me. Has a tilt bed too!

I just scraped the bottom in a cove and it took the skeg right off.

Well, that's not good! Hopefully they will improve the material so they don't break as easily.

I love the way all the wiring is hidden

Sounds like some good planning went into this part of it. Definitely a good idea

with the remote pedal there's no big loop of cables to get caught up on

So, is the foot pedal wireless? If so, what powers it?

the Dakota lithium batteries are sick

Gad to hear you like them, @tritonmike !! The price is still way out of reach for me, but at least I know they're a good product

Thanks for posting your feedback on it so far

This has been a wacky year when it comes to the weather. April was the coldest and windiest I have seen in my entire life, no exaggeration at all.

It seems like things are finally settling down a little now, so look for the bass fishing to pick up nicely, too!

The Hawg Forum / Had a Blast Yesterday!
« on: May 17, 2020, 06:24:48 PM »
I got to meet up with @toadhunter yesterday and do some fishing!

We've been trying to get together to fish for two or three years now, but it never seemed to work out until yesterday.

We had a blast fishing from his boat.

The highlight of the day was this beautiful pre-spawn female, caught in a foot of water on one of my own spinnerbaits.

Thanks, @toadhunter We'll have to get together again sometime

There is another trick where you can clean the Lead plates with Vinegar and Baking soda

That will work for lead acid batteries, but not for AGM batteries, since they are sealed.

Luckily I turned in a junk battery I had in the garage. I think it was from my lawn mower.  (giggle)

Nice job, @toadhunter

Wind can make the difference between a terrible day and one that you remember for years to come!

I don't have a house or rental there

@toadhunter OK. Then that makes it nearly impossible to do.  :'(

@Joe P is right. Not worth risking getting into serious trouble right now.

@Curt - RI , they are leaving their 14 day quarantine in place till July.

Not sure what you mean by that. Does it mean that anyone coming into the state of Maine has to quarantine for 14 days before leaving their dwelling?

If so, and a person comes solely for fishing and has no interaction with others, shouldn't that suffice?

@toadhunter I believe Maine is open to non-resident anglers. I know someone else who went there over the weekend to fish.

The last two weeks have been horrible for me also, whenever I have managed to get out.
