Just got back from Upstate NY myself and had the same tough conditions. It was cold up there with 2 mornings in the 20's.

We did catch a few decent sized smallmouths and i got a 5lb largemouth and lost a bigger one but bites were far and few!

Didn't get to meet Ryan  but did hear a sonic boom from the fighter jets that were always flying overhead..talk about loud  :o

I want to mount some permanent bow nav lights next. Just have to get over the fear of drilling holes in my hull  ;D

Your going to love it. now you need a anchor light for it so you don't have to use the stick in pole light anymore. I have the RMP one, not cheap but i got a black friday deal on mine!

No trailer for me!  Some Pro's use a horny toad in place of the skirt but i don't see a reason too!

No big ones for me either.

I was lucky last couple weeks as i was on the water when a few downpours came thru. It was like someone rang the dinner bell, non stop action and had fish up to 4 lbs  8)

Nice!  I finally broke the 3lb mark this week with a 4lb 6oz on a frog.  Big ones were few and far for me this spring :P

The Hawg Forum / Evinrude ends motor production.
« on: May 29, 2020, 09:31:57 AM »
Was kind of a stunner this week when Evinrude announced they were ending Etec & G2 production!

I've never owned any other brand of engine, always had Johnson or a Rude on my boats. My current G2 is my favorite so far.
I have 7 more years of warranty left, hopefully that gets honored if i need it. They claim they will and will still make the parts for them.

it's kind of sad to see them go after such a long history in the boating world  :(

Turning the corner now for sure.  Water temps are holding in the 60's and saw a lot of spawning activity this week.

Now it will probably jump right into summer heat!
