havent been on in a while! im having an awesome season!! caught my 7th 5lbs plus last night.
broke 3 PBs of bass! 8PBs total for all species. 5.5lbs smallie then a 6.9 smallie shortly after and 7.8 largemouth.
hows your season going

So long butt day! Felt like poop until it got !2#$^%$ AMAZING!!!!!!! Fished our butt got a nice 5lbs laker! Couldn't get another fish! WE FISHED EVERYTHING!!!! Many different spots! It was a tough day! Until 2 hours left in the day! I was getting frustrated and said I only want one smallie! 5lbs or 1lbs we gota get one! So we see big fish cruising! I pitch a finesse swimbait to it! This smallie inhales it! HUGE SMALLIE! Net it! 5.5!!!!!! Wow!!!! Woooooo got my 5lbser! So stoked! Super pumped! 1st smallie of the day! So we stayed in the area knowing there's more! No more hits! So I decided to toss topwater! I catch a nice 4lbser sweet! Then a 2lbser! Next cast huge monster smokes it! Jumps clean out of the water! Fight the fish! Get it in the net! I'm like that's a !2#$^%$ 6 lbser!!!!! I'm shaking and hyperventilating! I weigh it! 6.9! I CAUGHT A 6.9!!!!!! ON A TOPWATER!!!!!! Catch another 3 after that! 2 PB smallies in one day!!!!!!!!! 5.5 and 6.9 !!!!

i caught my new PB. fat 7.5lbser.
me and my buddy went fishin! spot #1. nothing. we caught to spot 2 and it was a slow bite. i caught one tiny pickerel on a 6 inch perch swimbait! my buddy caught nothing! i see a spot on the other side of the pond. i decided to swim to it! left all my gear on shore and made the swim! only brought a rod and the lure i had on. got to the spot few cast later i caught this beast. i had to swim back across the pond to get a weight and a picture. so i made the swim with the fish in one hand pinned against my body and the fishing rod in my mouth! watched the beast swim away after i gave her a big ole smooch

blowing 100mph at my favorite place! first spot was a no go! tried to windy! missed a laker tho!
hiked back to the truck! drove to a cove! walked another mile and a half. still to windy!
so i hiked to a point! the wind was blowing right across the point! it was creating lots of current and made a nice rip! i manaage to get out of the wind! but still close to the rip!
had a lake follow my lure! i was pumped cuz i now knew there was fish in the area! 10 minutes left cuz it was getting dark, i was alone deep in the woods! unfamiliar woods! caught this chunk smallie!
wish i had my scale! im thinkin 4lbs my first smallie at this spot!

awesome day over the weekend! went out saturday! got 1 hr of sleep! woke up at 245 am drove 2 hours
first spot was 2 miles out in the woods! walked 6 miles that day! fished 12 hours!
caught some lakers! nothing huge! i had a TON of hits! more hits then anybody esle but they were short strikes! bite right before the hook! i could see all the teeth marks! i landed one! missed a bunch. lost a monster! the way it hit and felt! i could tell it was big! my buddys caught a few!
on the way home at 9pm after i dropped my buddies off! i passed by a pond! i said to myself theres! monster sitting right there right now! so i pulled over! didnt even cast dropped it at the culvert! BAM!!! it smoked it! was only there for 10 minutes

this past week was my first week out! saturday sucked!! fished all day in winds blowing 30. motor died so we had to paddle. i had one bite! missed a good fish at the boat! my buddy caught 6 small crappies! i didnt have anything small enough to get crappies so i stuck it out for bass.
tuesday my plans changed! so i had time to kill. checked on an old favoirte! FINALLY OPEN!!!!!! there was still alot of ice but there was enough open water to cast. i cast out over the ice! the bass hit the hudd on the drop! i had to pull the bass through the ice! thank God it was soft ice! i landed a chunky 3.12lbser on a weedless hudd. crawled on bottom.
next day i went out with my buddy! we walked 2 miles out in the woods. i had 30lbs of gear with me! we get to the spot. 1st cast BAM. nice 1.5lbser! i smoked em! they were up tight to shore in some stumps! stacked up! i had 4 fish in 4 casts!
all on the hudds. my buddy was getting fustrated so i let him borrow a hudd! well he caught 4 fish but he ended up loosing it
he only had 6 bass. i caught 15 and a chunky yellow perch! oh on wednesday it was POURING!!! thank God for waders and rain gear!
got back out saturday! fished 3 ponds! 1st pond was a new pond! STEEP DROP OFFS!! shore line disapeared into the depths! well we didnt get any fish or hits here! so we fished another pond close by! we killed it here through the ice! one day we caught 25 smallies! and 15 big yellow perch.
we waded the whole pond! only found 2 schools of fish! we fished the area closest to where we found em ice fishing! some of the schools were close enough to shore!
we caught a total of 12 smallies all on texas rigged plastics worked SLOW!! 1 hit on jerkbait, no hits on swimbaits!
went out swimbaiting yesterday! drove 5 miles deep in the woods! i had a huge fish follow my spro bbz. few good whacks on hudds but i couldnt stick em!
cant wait to go back out today

so we went to an old favorite. i dont know why i dont fish this place alot. some one knock some sense into me!
so we went to a spot deep out in the woods. my first time ice fishing it. well attempting to ice fish it. we bushed whacked our way through thick woods. thank God for machetes. now ive been out here before. AND KLILLED IT!!! the first and last time i fished it. we fished for an hour and caught 15 bass a piece. if i missed the fish. it would come back and bite it 2 or 3 times. id have 5 and 6 hits on one cast! so yea this pond is good.
so we finally reached the pond. it look sketchy but we decided to test it any ways. so my buddy had his machete in hand to cut some holes. i was standing on the marshy swampy shoreline with the 150 foot rope and the sled full of gear.
ice breaks and i fall through. fell to up to my knees. we continue to walk along the marshy shoreline break the ice(not on purpose) we wanted to check the thickness on a different part of the shore. little safer but it was 2-2.5 inches!
we trek back to the truck hit an old favorite. first time on the ice here this season 3rd time ever. check the ice! 4 inches!!!! SWEET!!!!!! get to the spot spread out the traps, didnt have 2 set up before my flag poped! missed the fish. so i re set. go back to the 2 nd trap i need to set. BAM flag up!. couldnt set up my 5 traps. had 6 flags and 2 bass.
chasing flags all day. one flag would pop on one side. and the other one would pop on the opposite side. we would have to decide which one to take. hopefully its the right one. drag peeling, 5 lber. multiple flags popping at the same time. at one time i had 2 flags up. my buddy ask can i grab one. i said sure. i missed my fish and he lands a 5lbser that moron!!!!
we missed at least 40 fish. we would set the hook right away. missed fish. put pressure on it. but not set hook. missed fish. let it run. missed fished. we missed a lot of fish. now it may be the size of the hooks and we were using large shiners as well.
I MISSED 2 MONSTERS!!!!!!!!
they ran me into logs and broke off!
my buddy had 3 5s and 2 4s. that son of a complain! thats the last time i let him get my flag! my biggest was 3.5
we caught over 40 bass and 2 perch.
