@Zero Thanks for posting these. My guess is that Watchaug Pond ramp will be open.

Now we just need to know when they plan on opening trout waters .  Hopefully they announce something next week!

No callback from Burlingame yet. Not surprising.

Probably no one there, might be closed?

@Joe P , that's a good question. But since the boat launch isn't part of the park, it just might still be open.

On another note, I got word from RI DEM today that all April tourneys are canceled.

It's not real clear.  They said all parking areas will be closed, would think the ramp area is included?

@Zero Thanks for sharing this. RI should have just done what CT did. Now they will have a debacle on their hands

Yep, they blew it!

I'm hoping that we will just be able to fish. All beaches and state parks are closing Friday.  I would think that means Watchaug will be closed ?

I hope to get out some this week.  Weather has been crappy and windy the last week or so  :P

Looks good mid week to the weekend  8)

Yeah, kind of confusing.  She orders the stay at home ban and the next she says is you can go outside and go for walks, but to avoid crowds?

No crowds on my boat  ;D

I am still holding out to get my CT Licence to see if they dont require one!

It clearly states in the article that all licensing and rules remain in effect!   They won't give up that money...

Hopefully RI does the same!

Can you fish Candlewood all of April now? Used to shut down for 2 weeks.

Yes, all CT waters are open

Fishing Tackle Q & A / Floro to braid knots!

I've been using the FG knot for a while now with great success. it does take some practice to tie but i have it down pretty good.

Came across this video for the Shin Fukae knot and it looks fairly easy and fast to tie. Might have to try it out!

With everything pretty much shut down i wonder if the state would consider cancelling opening day?
Some places attract hundreds of people that are fishing elbow to elbow!

This virus is taking a toll and i think it's only the beginning  :P

That stuff sure is pricey, TW gets $40 for a 200 yard spool  :o

I've fished some different floro's the past few years and wonder if it's worth the hassle and money. I've been slowly going back to mono and copolymer lines.
I think my favorite was the cheaper Seaguar Red Label but there's been reports it's not the same quality anymore.
