The spawn is definitely over on every lake I fish, water temps are running mid to upper 80s. I surely do miss pachaug and its downstream fisheries. But down here I dont deal with pike. those that have been around for a while know I HATE PIKE.

Now that warmer weather is on the way and already here for some of us I have a weather question for you,if u cant get off the water in a bad lightning storm where do u go? Do in the south with the bigger lakes it's a toss up it seems between stay where you are as ur a small target in a large space and run for the nearest 4lane bridge.whats ur opinion?

Yes sir, 2 to 3 pounders r common in the fall.when you turn on the lights the shad r so thick the water looks alive.i will try to get some pics. It's a small lake for the area,22 miles end to end but its really a river IMO.

for the next few months the slab crappie and bream (bluegill, shellcracker, redears and such) will be flooding the bridges and train treasell and night.large numbers of 2+pounders are and will be caught. If anyone is down this way let me know.my arms are getting tired.

In my opinion there is nothing better than watching a bass take a frog like a great white takes a seal. Magical.
