Just saw where Jimmy's wife Chris had a brain aneurysm and a stroke. Sounds like she's in bad shape  :'(

He posted a video on facebook that was pretty heartbreaking. Feel bad for him!

I like to swim a 3 1/2" paddle tail on a jig head. Do very well with them!

@Curt - RI ,Right now I'm fishing them around drop-offs, from 3 to 5'.

That would make sense at this time of year  :nod:

So, drag them I will  (giggle)

@toadhunter Thanks for the tips! I guess I just need to drag them through cover, then. Would that be a correct assumption?

@Curt - RI , I find they are a great all around bait but they really excel in cold water. It's just most people fish them too fast, when you think you're going slow, slow down some more. They're a great numbers bait.

I've wrestled with boat positioning for years, especially since I actually target windy areas pretty often. This solves that problem as long as I'm fishing in less than 8 feet of water, which I do more often that not.

@Mitz It's the best money I've spent on my boat as far as accessories go.

Like you, I have an older boat (2008). I don't want to fork over $30,000+ for a new boat, so I have decided to continue to update and customize it to make it what I want it to be.

It's a lot of work, but also very rewarding to watch it transform into a more functional tool for catching fish!

And I'm doing all of the work myself, saving thousands on labor.

That is a great upgrade @Curt - RI !

With everything I did this year my "fishing" bank account is wiped out. However since deciding I'm not getting a new boat for a while and my powerpole is 10+ years old. I'll be doing some research over the summer.  :yes:
