Late to see this. Shallow bite ought to be strong on all lakes mentioned. There is tournament on Cob on Saturday fyi
Highly recomend the food at Lakeside on Cob. They do a great job. Its my new go to lake with my wife or grandchildren. Great takeout and ice cream to break up the day. Enjoy your trips

3.3 is a great new size for Keitech. 8lb line 2 power rod. You can use a nedhead jig 8 th oz. +/- though I use a worm nose jig that I make. I hardly ever use a silver buddy early anymore. Great Pond tomorrow. I will have a 2.8 a 3.3 and 3.8 tied on. Fish will probably be deep still. Ice went out yesterday.

Our governor does not want you here. You are welcome as far as I am concerned. Motels and campgrounds are locked down to out of staters. You can get away with day trips. I ran into a friend from Ct. yesterday at Great Pond. He has a house here. Lakeside on Cobbosee is hurting cant even take reservations until July from out of state.

Can you fish Candlewood all of April now? Used to shut down for 2 weeks.

We don't rent anymore. Getting out to Brownfield was cutting into my fishing. Lot of vacation rentals in Maine though; homeaway.com.

No, my parents stay there for a month or so each summer so we decided to keep it as long as they want to use it. Last payment is next month.   I spend a week a month or so at their place in the winter....works out. I make out.....Mom cooks for me too.

Had the great fortune to attend dinners with him, his wife, Ray Scott, Helen Sevier and hear stories of the origins of BASS and Ranger Boats. A great memory; Forest lived a great life. Definitely an Icon of the sport.

Splashed the boat at noon time on the St. Lawrence. Caught 18 smallies and 6 walleye to start a 4 day trip. None over 5 but came close a fews times. Smallies in less than 3 ' = fun. Shoulders feel great!

I wish I could! I am out of commission at the moment. Surgery last week has me a bit laid up while I recover. Hoping to get back out there next week, once I have full mobility back in my right shoulder muscles.

Good luck with your recovery. Getting old sucks! Best month for giants is now.
Both of my shoulders hurt....no loss of mobility so I deal with the pain mostly when I want to sleep. Funny they never hurt fishing.....think I will go lol
