I was able to back my TX190 in there but it sure was a squeeze. I had to stop and zig zag a few times but I eventually got it far enough in to float off and retrailer it later. The fishing was great. We got a lot of small fish early and then put 5 in the boat that were all over 3lbs. The launch was in good shape but like Huskybass said it is better suited to a smaller trailer or just carry on's. Tracker boat/trailers are slightly narrower that a glass rig trailer. Best of luck and tight lines!

It is about to go ashore near the Cape into the Carolina's and lower Virginia this morning. Irene has counter clockwise rotation so maybe we will get lucky and it will go inland. Not wishing any ill will on those residents but I don't want it here. A great site to follow storms is called Storm Pulse.

Take a look: http://www.stormpulse.com/atlantic

Northeast U.S. Fishing Reports / Lake Pocotopaug, Ct.
« on: June 25, 2011, 11:16:23 AM »
I was recently told this lake is producing good fish. The lake is approx. 517 acres of surface area and is the largest in Ct. It is located near East Haddam. I looked it up online and in my Ct. lakes & streams and it is listed as "no public access". Someone told me he was near there on a trip and there is a state owned boat launch. Does anyone have any knowledge of this lake and is there any access to it? Seems like a large lake to be locked down to the public. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks,
Jeff

Pattagansett Lake has a few bluegill condos starting and I spotted a dozen or so bass building a bed.

Got out on the lake on Tues late morning around 10:30. Water was very clear, water temps in the low to mid 60's.

The coontail was growing like mad, lillys mostly still under water but starting to unfurl. Didn't see a single bed anywhere, but the fish were actively hitting the frog thrown in or near the lilly areas. I threw jigs, square billed crank, spinner bait without a hit all day. I had hits all afternoon on the frog, no slime balls either just bass. Several small fish bit off more than they could get in their mouths (LOL) but I got 5 quality bass around 2 - 2.5 lbs. All in all a nice day, cloudy in the am and mostly sunny after lunch. One more thing, the floating dock is all new and the ramp and porta john was quality. And I was the only boat on the lake!  ;D
