Hey everyone. Anyone know if Wordens got water? Figured with no rain and alot of heat and being a shallow pond that it would be skinny. Anyone know for sure? Coming up tommorow hoping to fish it. Thanks

Thanks Bassaholic. Ive only fished Watchaug once a while ago and although we didnt do too well i just love the way everything looked and planned on going back but havent yet. Ill probably end up hittin both Wordens and Watchaug. well see. and a KVD 1.5 you're talkin about a square bill crank correct? if so i just picked some up

very true. Ive definatley had alot of fish miss the hollow bodies. On my honeymoon me and the wife went to Florida and fished the Big O. thats all that guy used down there were the soft bodies with the corkscrew hooks. fishing the same technique you described.  More of a keep it movin until you see a secondary wake behind it and then stall it and let it sink deal. but everytime we hooked up and thats probably the reason. they can come sideways on it. i got a couple bags of em. Ill grab some hooks and give it a whirl this weekend at Wordens. Hopefully its not a blue bird day. never had a good day on clear skies there (well with frogs at least)

oh and Brazzy...any reason for the preference of softbody frogs vs. hollowbodied? i like hollows cause theyll last you forever although it is a pain to really bury the hook in a fish with em

To be honest I wouldnt mind a big pike. And I definatley have my fair share of soft baits I'm used to the pickerel being a nusance. My "home lake" is loaded with em so I have an over abundance of anything soft. Bladed jigs?  Is it a "chatterbait"? i forget who makes em

Definatley. Thank you. Ive recently discovered how awesome swimmin super flukes (and similar baits) are when rigged on a 1/4oz belly weighted hook. so thats part of my plan as well.

If you dont mind me askin...what do you usually throw there? i feel the most confident with hollow body weedless frogs in that needle grass (i dont think thats actually what it is) that grows out of the water along the whole shoreline

Thanks Curt. thats what I was thinkin was Wordens. Try the frog bite in the grass first thing in the morning. Installing a power pole on the boat this week and all I been thinkin about is Wordens because i dont know about you but I have never been there when the wind isnt whippin
