I was planning on catching a 9 this weekend but I had some stuff to do. I will probably catch one this week if I get the time. Anyone know if the guy has a facebook with some more pics of the fish?

My mother found this book and gave it to me. Crazy to see how far bass fishing has come since 1947. Might attempt to build a lure from this book and see how it holds up in 2020  :hmm:

They where all good fish any other lake we would have been impressed with the quality. But we know the monsters that live in there so it sucks when you don't hook into one or worse hook into one then lose it at the boat.

Good overall day everyone was hungry crappie, Bass, perch and @toadhunter personal favorite the pickerel lol. Classic day of fishing tho bring 5+ rods then 30 min into the day zero in on what they want then end up throwing one bait the rest of the day. No big prespawn females tho  :(

Thanks for posting for some reason it was not letting me post the photo using my phone. Anyway solid solid first day on the water for me this year now the goal is going to be to top this one and get a 6+. This is the 3rd year in a row that I have caught a 5 pounder just after ice out. You are not wrong if your not fishing  now your missing out on a chance to catch some big girls like this .

I have to come clean everyone I can?t live this lie anymore I caught one fish @toadhunter got the rest of the 9 it was a struggle after the first 2 hours or so my goal was basically to get the skunk out of the back of the boat he might be a little better fishermen then me but I?m just going to blame it on the 2 nights in the high 30s that kept the fish from biting my bait. Hey there is allways the next trip
