Nice job @Curt - RI

Had fun frogging in the fog this morning, catching 21 bass. Unfortunately this one was a skinny post spawn girl, unlike my catch from last week (Gorillas in the mist). I did spook a couple giant bass in the shallows that I can only imagine how big they were.

@Joe P @Curt - RI That's the point, when I actually sat down and thought about it, it was way more than I would have guessed. My idea for the poll was to see if people tend to be homebodies and frequent their familiar waters or are more like me and try to fish new water in hopes of finding multiple honey holes.

I sat down the other day and thought about how many bodies of water I've fished in my life and I was quite surprised. Most are in R.I. and M.E. with the rest scattered around New England and a few trips to F.L.

I've said it countless times, "big fish bite in the rain" and today was no exception. My buddy and I launched in pouring rain and then proceeded to catch dozens of bass. We agreed to make another drift and I caught this one on the way up lake. The fish were keyed in on a bluegill bite and wanted nothing but that, so spinnerbaits around grass and rocks was the ticket.

@Joe P  we only caught a few, the day we went for smallies is the day the wind blew at 25mph so we only put in a couple hours. Got some pike too.

Just got back from my 28th annual trip to Maine. @ProvidenceBassHunter and I caught a lot pre-spawn fish. The wind cut back our time one of the days because white-caps aren't fun in a Crawdad.

@ProvidenceBassHunter and I took advantage of the light winds this morning and landed dozens of fish. The weird thing was that all the fish seemed to be skinny post spawn fish.

Two weeks ago I was catching fish in a Foot of water on lay downs/wood. Now after the snow and rain it seems they pulled off a little, the bite was sluggish today but got a few healthy ones, after next week I'm sure they'll be back up. Welcome to New England

I have caught a lot of fish (120+) this season but they've been mostly small. For the rest of the week I decided to target bigger fish and fish places that produce them. Today it payed off with this chunk that was fooled by a 5" paddle tail.

Fished 8 hrs in two different states with my friend and we put smack down on them. Most fish were in a foot or two of water on submerged wood and fell to the spinnerbaits. We literately caught 4 dozen+.
