Rain in North Carolina
« on: September 06, 2022, 02:14:00 PM »
One of the things I've learned about living in North Carolina is that it very, very rarely rains lightly here in the south!

Rain here comes down in monster drops, a lot at a time  :o :o

Streets go from bone-dry to having little rivers running down the sides of them in just two or three minutes.

There have been times when I have been out driving in my car or truck and have had to practically come to a slow crawl because I couldn't see beyond 30 feet in front of me.

Today has been one of those days. We had tons of clouds blowing by us, and then the skies opened up and it poured for about 10-15 minutes. It ended with a few rolls of thunder, and now the sun is back out. It kind of reminds me of weather that I've experienced in Florida in the past.

I have some video of some of this. I will post it here sometime soon!
