First pig of the year
« on: February 24, 2022, 01:47:04 PM »
Got out yesterday and had perfect timing on a bite window just 2 days after ice-out. Found some fish in 3 to 4 FOW soaking up the sun.

@Joe P , might be a couple weeks before we're able to get out again.

Nice! You always get an early jump on them!

Hopefully I can get the boat in the garage this week and start prepping for the season. I would like to get some lines wet sometime in the next 2-3 weeks after I get a few work projects out of the way.

I feel for you guys. We had close to 80 here today. Not trying to rub it in. Just saying that I'm glad I left when it comes to the weather differences.

Just a bit of a temperature swing!  (giggle)

We had 80 here in NC yesterday.

I took a walk down to one of our neighborhood ponds just before dark and managed to get this one to bite.
