Better quality lately
« on: July 04, 2021, 07:39:02 PM »
The last few weeks I've see an uptick in better quality fish bites. I think the bigger fish are feeding up trying to recover from the spawn. Fish seem to be heading deeper to their summer haunts.

Those are definitely some nice fish!

I think the fish are trying to figure out what the heck is going on with the weather  (giggle)

Those are some very nice fish.

I was throwing a 3/4oz Zara Spook up the river last week which started off well.  A few casts later, I thought I snagged a moving log until the splashing began.  A Beaver swam through my line and hooked itself.  I'm actually surprised that it hasn't happened before to me as there are a lot of them in the local rivers, and they do swarm around and slap their tales.
