So, over the past few years I have been playing around with the buzzbait more and more. Last fall and this spring especially. I make my own, but I have a question for you guys. Do you guys do the whole clamp to the antenna of your vehicle, or hold out the window of the truck to "break in" your buzzbait? I have been told from a couple of guys I have learned a lot about the sport from that you are wasting your time if you don't break it in for a couple of miles.
Honestly I haven't seen a difference. I honestly don't get bit much on the buzzbait anymore either for some reason whether I do the whole break in process or not. They are usually a starter bait for me to run it around 10-20 times to see if there are any active fish in the general area I am starting in, then it gets put down.
And for those of you wondering, yes I always crimp the aluminum rivet down so it doesn't spin along with the buzz blade.
