I have 2 personal bests for LMB.

My personal best outside of RI was caught in California in 2005. It weighed 9 lbs. 14 oz. I caught it on a 6 inch Senko on the California Delta.

My RI personal best was caught on a Musky Jitterbug at Night, in early September of 1989. It weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz.

I am still a lightweight when it comes to PBs and stuff. But I don't fish anywhere besides RI and pretty much only Eastern CT.

My PB was caught on a baby brush hog. Flipping coon tail with a 1/4oz weighted EWG hook. Middle of the day while pre fishing. My partner and I where actually trolling away from the area and I was covering water on the way out. 6lb 11oz. That is the fish in my Avatar.

Same lake I got a 6 1/2 during an overnight club tournament on a black spinnerbait I made with a single #8 colorado blade.

My PB Smallie was also on a soft plastic. 6" bass pro stik o, also in an overnight club tourney. On the back of @Mitz 's boat!!  ;D That is only 3 1/2, but its a darn good smalljaw for RI.
I make baits, so when I fish, I am product testing! And when I am not using baits I make, I am researching.

7.14 a few years back.  It was a bit after midnight, and I cast a spinner onto the bank next to a bridge and dragged it in.  I thought it was a Pike based on the strike and location (Sudbury River) but big bass will hit hard at night.

3/4 oz spinner, black with red (maybe blue), and a Colorado blade.  I primarily fish in the dark as I will take 2 to 3 fish north of 3lbs over a bunch of 1-2lb fish any day, which is the norm in the rivers I like to fish in Metrowest.

Mine was a 6#13oz LM at Congamond Lake in Southwick, MA.

Caught at about 2pm on a bluebird sky day. I think my buddy and I caught maybe 3 fish all day. Wacky rigged 5" green pumpkin senko (194). I thought I snagged a tree branch and slow rolled it in for about 10 feet, then it broke for weed cover. Good fight.

I hope to have a new PB I can post after next week!

My PB was caught late morning, early afternoon. Cant exactly remember what time. But same thing. We hadn't done much all day, and I was moving out of the cove I was in, and was just randomly flipping coon tail grass and thought I was snagged until she surged on me and I stuck her. On a baby brush hog! Watermelon Red flake to be exact. And I don't even throw the things anymore!
