Post Spawn??
« on: May 15, 2021, 02:30:58 PM »
@ProvidenceBassHunter and I took advantage of the light winds this morning and landed dozens of fish. The weird thing was that all the fish seemed to be skinny post spawn fish.

Nice job.

I actually caught post-spawn bass last weekend too. While others were still busy doing their bed thing.

With the warmer weather that's moving in, look for the spawning to peak soon!

I was at Indian today and they where spawning hard. Managed 2 off beds. Caught a little male smallie too that was guarding a bed. I didn't SEE any females on beds but I did manage a good one over 4lbs that had to be on a bed.
I make baits, so when I fish, I am product testing! And when I am not using baits I make, I am researching.

Was Indian crowded yesterday?

Not as bad as I have seen it before. I was in a small friendly tourney there, and there where a couple more boats in the parking lot when we left. So all together like 8 boats out there. I was able to fish the way I wanted without anyone crowding me!
