My Boat To Do List
« on: March 10, 2021, 10:54:20 AM »
Well, heading into this winter I had very little on my boat to-do list.

The only thing I knew for sure that I needed to do was to replace the seals on the axles, since one of them has been leaking for about 4 or 5 months.

I decided, though, that I would actually replace the entire hub on both sides. This would give me new hubs, bearings and seals, all in one shot, with very little labor involved.

Then, part-way through the winter, I decided to add a second Minn Kota Talon, so I'd have one on the starboard side, in addition to the one I added on the port side last Summer.

Other than that, the remainder of the list was pretty much just a good cleaning and organizing.

Well, as of today, I have purchased and installed the second Talon, which I'm super excited about!

But I still need to do the hubs, the cleaning and the organizing.

The cleaning and organizing will get done this weekend, and the hubs will be done next week.

And just in time, since it's time to go fishing!
