Toad Hunter isolation challenge
« on: March 27, 2020, 04:59:01 PM »
The fish should be eating big time tomorrow. So with that in mind, I am putting out a last minute challenge. With all the crap that's going on I thought this might be fun. Whoever catches the biggest fish (by weight) on Saturday March 28th, and posts to this thread will win one free Toad Hunter bait. Please be honest, no old pictures. Cut off is 6 pm Saturday.

Good luck

I knew today would be epic. The good news is, I got on a insane spinnerbait bite and caught a crap-load of fish. The bad news is they were all buck bass that were moving up onto flats and none of them were over 2 lbs. The fish were in the lily pads that were just below the surface but in 3 fow.

I managed to get out this afternoon from 3:30 till about 5:15. One bite, came unbuttoned almost immediately. Nothing else for my efforts. :nope:

I was out Yesterday and got a fish I didnt weigh! I was out friday and caught 1 toothy critter. Yesterday the fish I caught was maybe 1 1/2. Only a few fish up shallow. We couldnt get any of the fish in 15FOW to commit.

This was my first Bass of 2020. Cruising around up shallow! Caught him in CT on probably my favorite springtime Bait, the Bladed Jig!

@ProvidenceBassHunter and I went out today, it was cold and raw. We managed to catch around 18 fish but only 7 of them were bass. Guess we should have went out later in the day because the bite didn't get going till around 10 am.

I was out yesterday, it was cold and raw. I didnt get a sniff on anything. My buddy caught one close to 3 pounder on a Jig. And a Pickerel. Every spring is slow for me. Just waiting for things to heat up for these fish to really start feeding up shallow!

@metz12 , concentrate on 3 to 5 FOW. Any baitfish imitator works in early (40 to 50 degree water) pre-spawn.
