Another Boat Mod This Evening!

Tonight was cup holder installation night!

This was a bit of a hairy installation, since it required me to cut a large hole in my deck  :o

Step 1 - Mark the outline and drill a pilot hole.

Step 2 - drill a larger hole.

Step 3 was to cut the hole, and then file it to get it just right. Then I slid the cup holder down in, where it fit nice and snug.

And here's the view from a bit further back.

Glad this is done! I still might install one more back at the console, next to the other one that's already there. We'll see.  :hmm:

What did you end up using to cut the hole?

@Joe P I used a jigsaw and a Dremel. I cut the hole smaller than it needed to be, then finished it with a Dremel and a file, so it wouldn't end up too big.

The other spot where I want to add one more will probably require a hole saw though, since there isn't a lot of room to work with a jigsaw.  :nope:
