Scratched the itch today!
« on: February 24, 2020, 01:16:01 PM »
Couldn't pass up this nice February weather so i got the boat ready Saturday and went out today,

Very nice out but also very cold water, temps were 37 with a little skim ice in one corner (the corner i wanted to fish) got up to 40 when i left!
No bass but got a couple pickerel, nice to have something stretch my line  8)

Hope we can keep getting warmer but the weekend looks to get colder again. Won't be long  :)

A buddy of mine and I hit Watchaug Yesterday, on his new to him ranger. We marked a ton of fish but couldn't get anything to commit. Water temps where ranging from 38-41 at the highest. We didnt fish too many pickerely areas so no toothy critters, but I was sure we would run across a crappie or 2. But hey it was nice to get out on the water and wet a line.

Good for you guys getting out there. I still need to have a prep day, but I am dying to swing on some fish.

It's amazing how animals with a brain the size of a pea can humble us sometimes  (giggle)
