Wood Turned Jittersticks
« on: January 31, 2020, 04:19:51 PM »
So as some of you guys may know, I am a woodworker/Boatbuilder by trade. After a busy Christmas season of making Cutting Boards, Coasters, turning Pens and screwdrivers to sell, I told myself that after the new year hit I would try my hand at making some swimbaits/glidebaits/wakebaits. I turned up this jitterstick on my small Benchtop Lathe. I used Eastern White Cedar, and burned to get the darker brown, and Clear Coated with Total Boat Marine Epoxy. Making baits is really fun. I have a buddy that is going to paint baits for me, since I am no Painter. Ive done a few Rats, and some 2 and 3 piece wakebaits that he is going to paint up for me. Ill post some pictures of those when I get them back.

Looks like a fish catcher   I see the wakebaits in the background, make sure you post a pic of it completed!

Moved north of the border to Alabama. Have a pond full of very large Bass in it. They should love them as much as your buzzbaits..... 12lbs is my biggest so far. My buddy caught a 15lb bass out of it.
