Ice Everywhere!

Chapman Pond is 100% frozen again, as are all the swampy areas and smaller bodies of water.

Today's warm temps started melting the ice, with small open holes showing up in swampy areas.

I drove by Chapman Pond this afternoon, and it looked like open water in one corner of the lake that gets sun for most of the day. So the ice must not have been very thick for it to melt so quickly. And the rain tomorrow will only open the water up further!

Chapman Pond in Westerly was iced in again this weekend. I doubt it will last long, though, with the forecast for this week.  :nope:

We will be fishing again very soon.

@Curt - RI , it's been a roller coaster for sure this winter. Every time I think we're in the clear, we freeze up again. Won't be long though.

@toadhunter Yes it has. But I'm OK with it overall because the cold spells haven't lasted that long, and we didn't get inundated with snow.

@Joe P Yes it is getting higher every day. And it's light past 5:30 now, which is a good sign! And thanks for the reminder about Daylight Savings Time starting soon. I didn't realize it was sneaking up on us so quickly.  :nope:
