First fish of 2020
« on: January 05, 2020, 12:49:49 PM »
Fished for two hours without a bite until I found the sweet spot. Fish were in just 5 to 6 fow on an extremely windy point but I had to pull back behind it just to get the pictures taken. The only bait they would eat was a suspending crankbait pulled just enough to make it wiggle. The fish this time of year are very thick.

@Curt - RI , @Joe P , it was 35* with 25 mph gusts, but I have plenty of warm gear for that. I'm hoping the water stays open till next weekend, I'll be able to fish more of the pond if there is no wind.    You don't know if you don't go.

Looks like there will open water again on Sunday. Still very windy but 55 to 60 degrees.
