And the Long Wait Begins...
« on: December 18, 2019, 06:03:35 PM »
Well, it looks like this is the beginning of the long wait for Winter to do its thing and then go away.

I only hope it's not too brutal and not too long  :hmm:

I don't care how cold it gets as long as it's out here early march  ;D

Last few winters weren't too bad but lingered well into April  :P

My thoughts exactly, Joe. I hate it when April rolls around and we're still struggling with cold, windy days in the 40s every day. A couple years back we had a great March, but April was colder than March and the fishing was terrible that month.

I know that every year I hope for a "nice" spring, but I'm not gonna give up, and I'm gonna hope for one in 2020 too  ;D

Man I would love to be out on the boat in March! That can be our Christmas wished though guys! Early Spring! With the late Thanksgiving this year though in preparation for Christmas and New Years, December has gone by pretty quick so far. Lets hope we only have 2 months to wait to fish.

I remember about three years ago we had a thaw in January for two weeks then again in February for the same amount of time. It was only the second time I was able to pull off a open water calendar slam in New England. Keeping my fingers crossed.
