Shimano SLX

Been seeing great reviews on the new SLX reels from Shimano and wanted to try one. Found them on sale at Sportsman Warehouse and bought one.

When i first took it out of the box i wasn't sure i was going to keep it. It felt a little tight, it was smooth just not free spinning. Ergonomics felt great in my hand, i have 30 days to return it so i figured i might as well try it.

Spooled 12lb P-Line on it and was really impressed how well this thing cast. felt really smooth reeling the bait in. I've been using it for over two weeks now mostly fishing swim jigs and spinnerbaits and i think it's my new favorite reel. I wish they had the high speed model on sale but can't find any anywhere under MSRP.  I will be buying another

I was actually looking at that reel online last week. Glad to hear that you like it!
