Mystery Tackle Box

Anyone subscribe? I did a couple months and way overstocked my kit...lol. Gave a  bunch to my son.

I stopped subscribing due to money reasons, but I'm  in a better place now. I was doing the bass box, but was thinking of doing the crappie box as I love me some fried crappie/sunfish. Plus, like I said, I now have more bass tackle than I know what to do with. Might be nice to get some small jigs and such.

What box do you subscribe to if you do?

For a while I had MTB and LTB. At first I was happy with it as it gave me stuff I wouldnt normally use so it got me out of my comfort zone. I felt like I was getting a bargain because I was getting a lot of stuff for cheap. As time went on I started getting frustrated. They claimed to give you like $40+ worth of stuff but they always included something from Live Target which I feel is overpriced and sub par. So of the "$40 Value" $25 of that was one lure that was not great. The "Stuff I wouldnt use" part became frustrating as well. At first it was cool to experiment, but i eventually found it was clutter and it was "stuff I wouldnt use" for a reason. I ended up cancelling both.

I dont know what the deal is now, but it was historically $20 for like $40+ worth of stuff. I found I would rather spend $20 on stuff I want/need/would use vs $20 for $40 worth of stuff I don't want/don't need/wouldn't use.

To me $15/month is better spent on Bass University. Endless videos from top pros walking you through just about every season, condition, presentation, lure, etc you can think of. Learning from them has helped me far more than any of the tackle box deals.

I've never subscribed to any of them. I prefer to buy what I like and what I need vs. getting random stuff that I may or may not use. But that's just my personal preference. I guess some people really like those kinds of services.  ;)
