Felt like Fall
« on: September 09, 2018, 01:36:38 PM »
With temps at 54 degrees and a 10 mph wind it sure felt like Fall this morning. Things started slow until @ProvidenceBassHunter and I got the spinner bait dialed in, then we landed so quality fish.

Curt and I Saturday did not fair as well! On 2 different boats, we both only managed small fish! I was hoping to get out today but I had to take care of some farm chores all day before the potential bad weather the next 2 days  ::)

@metz12 you win, it's much harder to hook a fish with that small a mouth than a big fish that swallows the bait.  (giggle)

Got up before 4am, Sunday, for day 2 of our Nation State Fish off. Went out thought this not too bad.....shorts and sandals. By blast off I was shaking in my "not boots". Luckily had my rain gear which I wore until it was time to weigh in. Hate the thought of wearing socks and long pants again. Next weekends tournament looks to be summer again.....it can keep on keeping on.

People mock you for buying nice rain gear.. like how often do you fish when it rains.. The answer is "a lot"... but we dont talk about the times it totally saves us because we under estimated how cold it was outside. Stuff is worth its weight in gold.
