First Time River Fishing!
« on: September 08, 2018, 08:51:39 PM »
Took a 4 hour fishing trip today at a local river to get my bounds before a tournament next weekend today. I have been wanting to fish this river ever since I can remember, so I was super excited to be able to get in there. I managed a bunch of fish, and a lot of quick release fish right at the boat because they where so TINY! I did manage 4 fish that where barely 12". And I have to say that they where fun to fight, being the constant current makes the fish so strong. And healthy too! All the fish I caught had fat bellies. All in all it was a good day of fishing before the rain set in. I also managed a huge pickerel on topwater! Thought I was on a good fish until I saw those teeth come up next to the boat. This thing had a gut on him and was at least 22" long.
I make baits, so when I fish, I am product testing! And when I am not using baits I make, I am researching.
