The quest for 5 keepers... FAIL!! Only one bass keeper over 12 inches.. and a ton of pickerel!!

All caught on soft jerkbaits!!

Hang in there. It'll get better as the water warms up!

Also keep in mind that Pickerel like things that are erratic and fast-moving. So if you're catching a lot of Pickerel, try slowing it down a bit and making your retrieve a little less erratic. You'll catch less of the slimy, toothy critters  :yes:
