That dealer stated that Vexus has said that the 1880 with a 135 will run 53-54 MPH. That's what I get from my current boat with a Yamaha 150 HP. With the Vexus being a bigger boat, that's not too bad.

But if I'm buying a new boat, I want it to be an upgrade in speed as well as in the boat itself, even if it's only a couple MPH.

Still more interested in the Vexus AVX1980  ;)

Thanks for posting this @Joe P

I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed with the top speed of 57 MPH. I was really hoping to see 59-61.

My current boat, with a 19 pitch prop, gets 53-54 MPH, and my boat is only 18 ft. So I guess 57 on a 19 ft. 8 inch boat is reasonable.  :hmm:

Speed is good when you consider that the boat is close to 20 feet long.

Top speed isn't everything, it's how the boat handles at running speeds. I can hit 58 but the boat gets a little loose, at 55 it runs rock solid!
