Strange Day On The Water
« on: March 29, 2018, 04:17:13 PM »
My Wife and I hit Champan Pond today, in Westerly. It's close to home, so we figured we'd give it a quick try while it wasn't 40 degrees and it isn't snowing or raining  (giggle)

Wasn't really worth the time or effort, with only one bass and 3 small Pickerel being caught.

Caught fish on a spinnerbait and a bladed jig. No size to any of them at all.

Water temp was 45-47. Air temp was around 50 or so. Winds were 5 MPH or less.

We need some sunny, warm days to get things moving a little

Crickets chirping...  (giggle)

Oh wait... even the crickets are silent because they're buried under 5 inches of new snow  :crying:

I've been thinking that I really need to start throwing crankbaits again. Thanks for the reminder and confirmation!
