A friend gave me an old "skin mount" bass that was around 15 to 20 years old. It had lots of scales and even some skin missing. I decided to do the restoration on as my "winter project". I re-painted the skinless areas and cracks then clear-coated the whole mount. I used some artificial lily pads from Michaels and got a piece of driftwood from a local lake, then re-mounted it. Here is a before and after look.
