I haven't been to Bowdish in at least 6 or 7 years. From what I've heard it's pretty weedy, but I've always liked the lake despite the weeds.

Maybe @Mitz can give you more info. I think he's been there more recently than I have.

I like a blk/brn  jig there except in the dead of summer a 7.5" junebug worm is hard to beat in that lake. A great place to fish, with some toads lurking in it.

Sorry for the delay. There are some good fish in Bowdish the problem is they have tons a weeds to hide in. The center body of the lake houses some tanks you just have to hit them in the head. There is a small island in the middle I always hit because it looks so good but it seldom produces.

I would say get on the Trolling motor stay about 20yrd from shore and cover water. You will find them! Depending on what your throwing at and the weeds. Senko, swim frog, chatterbait all will give you a solid chance. When all else fails hit the middle and start dead stickin crawtube, senko, or jig.

Best of luck!
