Lipless Crankbait Build
« on: May 28, 2013, 11:14:30 AM »
Hey all, I've been fooling around with making hard plastic baits and I'm in the process of finishing my first with this technique. I chose a lipless crank as it's one of my favorite lures, especially for early and late season bassn:

Silicone Rubber Mold I made and is now filled with plastic resin

Lure parts set-up, extracted and cleaned up after a 5-7 min cure time

Here's what it looks like assembled

Just need to add ballast and rattles, paint, hook and fish!

What do you think?

With the mold made, I want to make a few of the parts so I can assemble a half dozen at a time. I did the one shown on Friday night just to see how the plastic casting process work. I hope to sit down next weekend to make 5 more up.
