I wonder if the Red Sox have any wins left in them at all. This has gotten to be sad lately  :-[

I have almost stopped watching them. I watch a few innings, get really frustrated with the play and then have a hard time finishing the game. Even if they do make it to the playoffs they are pretty hurt with very little fire under their backsides for sure.

Go Patriots :D

Pretty scary moment when Brady took that hit to his knee Sunday :o  Could have been a lost season as it seems to be for the Red Sox  ::)

How quickly do Red Sox fans loose their faith!  Do you remember 2004, down three games to none?  We are still ahead, someone is trying to catch us, not the other way around.

I do...in fact i actually called it after they lost game three.  I told a buddy that they were gonna win the next four guaranteed.  He obviously thought I was crazy.....but he still brings it up to this day.  This years team just doesnt seem right....I cant put a finger on it, but something is off.  Even if they make the playoffs, they wont get outta the first round.

I haven't lost my faith in them. I'm just frustrated to see them on such a terrible slide after coming so far from the hole they had dug in the early season.

I hope they can pull it all together and do something in the post-season.

The big difference now is the injuries. The pitching staff has taking a big hit and the bullpen has really struggled!

I think they will make the playoffs but facing Texas or Detroit in first round is a huge mountain to climb  ???

It is not a matter of faith at all. I have a ton of faith, just lack of confidence in this team at this point. This team is VERY different from the 2004 team that you are bringing up Ray. They wanted it bad in 2004 and you could see it in their interviews, the dugout, on the field... just everywhere. Even when we were down the 3 games there was that feeling of getting the win and then going from there. This team gives you a defeated feeling. I have no doubt they will squeak out enough wins to make it to the playoffs, but I doubt they will make it past first round. All I can say is that I think Henry will be assessing his staff next year and you may see some changes in the Bos management team.

Looks like all the injuries caught up with them. It's not looking good right now and I seriously don't think they are going to catch lightning in a bottle anytime soon.

Game #162 just put an exclamation point to the September meltdown.

Should be an interesting off season. Papelbon? Ortiz?

They lost their steam a month or so back and it was downhill from there. It's best that they lost last night because they just didn't have what it takes to play any championship games  ::)

Just a terrible last 2 months of baseball finally coming to an end. They had no fire, no chance and though some people can say that the fans gave up on them; it is quite evident that the team gave up on us and winning a long time ago. Bring out the broom, because it is time to clean the management staff and locker room out.Go Pats and Go Bruins!
