So looks like I'm heading to NY for a week in Aug. I have friends already staying on Lake George and now I'm researching options too.

Anyone know of any:
- Good place to stay
- Good Spots to Fish
- Good place for a burger and a beer?

Years ago i went there in Late June. in August your going to have a ton of boat traffic to deal with, big boats!

I stayed in Diamond Point but if i was to do it again i would venture north up in the narrows. I remember being told the fish were deep, 30' - 50' or more in the main basin, lots of water there, and tourists

Thanks for the heads up. Kinda figured the boat traffic would be NUTZ. Thinking mostly night / Early AM fishing.

Heading up with 2 other couples so I'll be deploying the you sleep I fish tactic!

You will need a special Lake permit for your boat if your not aware of it. I was told about as i was getting ready to launch

There is some big pike in there also, hit the weed lines in some of the coves!
