Question about my boat
« on: May 02, 2011, 06:13:37 PM »
ok, so heres the deal.  About 5 years ago, a buddy of mine sold me a 16ft aluminum Lowe fishing boat....I bought it for $600...it has a 40 horse evinrude on it, it ran, the boat worked just fine...( i had to clean it EXTENSIVELY and put a new bilge in it) .  It has a deck in front and back, and two seats.....blah blah blah.  The electronics were shot....its basically a piece of junk, yet it runs, and it was really all I needed to fish from.

Unfortunately I have done nothing with the boat for 3 years now....I left it sitting at my house uncovered and everything.  Pathetic I know...what can I say, Im lazy.......a kid, a job, and a mortgage havent helped in my spare time for stuff like taking care of a boat...lol.

I wanna get rid of it.  Is it even worth trying to sell it?  It ran when I took it outta the water three years ago....its sitting there waiting for someone to restore it, or whatever.....The boat itself is fine...no holes or leaks that I knew of, it actually has a new bilge in it that I used for maybe one trip out....Its sitting on a trailer right now (one that can get you from point A to point B, I think, but thats junk too).

.

If someone put a little work into the boat and motor, and cleaned it up real good, it would be a nice little fishing boat.  I enjoyed it the ten times or so I took it out....I would sell it real cheap if you guys think anyone would even buy it....Oh yeah, I forget what year the motor is...but Ill check.  I also have a clean title & it was registered the last time it actually saw water, so theres no worried there......

basically I just dont know if I should try to sell it or just have a junker haul it away.  I can go take a few pics if it would help you guys...  Ill take ANY input you guys have.

I looks exactly like the boat below, except its filthy.

Hey Bless, I saw that you had some dialog going on with Marc, so I figured you were all set.

Honestly, if you get some pics of it, even with it dirty, and throw them up here it would make it easier for people to see exactly what you have and then give you more feedback based on that.
