Hitting Amos Lake next week and I was wondering if anybody had knowledge of the lake? How it fishes and anything else that would help.

I think more has probably been said about Amos on this forum than any other body of water.  Just type "amos" in the search bar right under the bass pro shops banner.

Amos is a small lake with a big personality  :)

It has more diverse depth, cover and structure than most bigger lakes. You can catch fish from 1 foot deep to 30+ feet deep. It all depends on your fishing strengths and favorite style of fishing.

Try doing what Alex mentioned and searching the forums for Amos Lake and you'll find an abundance of info  ;)

The lake for the most part, fishes very well most of the time. Good fishery,  when you figure out a pattern it will be a fun day for you.
Men and fish are alike, they both get in trouble when they open their mouths...

Amos is a great place to bass fish. It is the closest lake to my house ( 12 minutes). It has a lot of alewives and stocked with trout. Lots of forage for big bass. It also has spots in excess of 40' deep. It is only 100 acres but fishes like a much bigger body of water. Most weekends this place gets pounded. You can have sat and sun fishing tournies plus a night one thrown in . This lake also has slot limits which helps keep the average bass on a good size. I have had great days here but have also been humbled. If I am struggling I know that comfort is just a few minutes away with a grinder on the way home with some nice steak fries.

fishing was slow and tough, but saw a couple of guys nailed bass a little over 4 pounds. Seemed like a pretty good lake, wonder if it gets hit hard during the height of the season?

It gets hit pretty much from ice out until it freezes over!
