Based on the weather and the temperatures the past 48 hours, I don't think there will be any ice left in Southern RI and CT after today.

Curt I thought PowerTroll was bought by another company?  Is it still located in the same place down there?  I think I am going to need to pick up a new battery this year and wanted to get a PowerTroll but thought they were done.  Any info you can provide would be much appreciated.

Hey Pat, Power Resources, the dealer for Power Troll, is still very much in business. They have cut way back on promotions for the Power Troll batteries, but they're still alive and kickin', right on Main St. in Hope Valley.

(401) 539-8646

Call that number, and ask for Paul, and be sure to tell him I sent you  :)

I just talked to him yesterday about getting my new batteries. Paul is only in for a few hours each day, so it might be hit or miss talking to him, but he's the owner, so he's the best one to talk to.

Thanks a bunch.  Those batteries are the best I have bought so far and was going to move onto a Sears battery this year but now I am going with another Power Troll.
I fish therefore I lie.

I tried getting a cranking battery there last year but kept getting the run around?  Ended up buying an Optima!

Don't know if Paul (a former member here) is still there or not?

Yes... Paul is still there and he's the one I talked to. Don't waste your time talking to anyone else. Just call and ask for Paul.

The longevity of the Power Troll batteries is incredible. They last a long time on the water and a long time over the years.

Went by Canton Res yesterday morning @ 6:30 am and the only open water was on the far west end near a drainage structure. Yesterday afternoon we saw 70* plus air temps and windy. By 3:30 pm the res was 90% iced out. I will be on a recon mission to find more open bodies of water today.

Fishing starts for me this week!
