China Lake Maine
« on: October 23, 2010, 10:20:16 PM »
My club rented 3 cottages for our STQT on China Lake. One of the nicest places that I have said anywhere and these are on the best lake in Maine for Largemouth. Check out the inside pics. I highly recommend these and China lake for those planning a fishing Vaca to Maine

Looks like a nice place Eric, i might have to check that place out!

Are the cabins on the water? What about a boat launch?

Near the water, the water in September was too low for the boat launch but the Vassalboro launch was 5 minutes away. The cabins are within a campground so there are RVs and tenters there too and a beach for swimming

Looks great Eric! Thanks for letting us know about this place.

So... China Lake is Maine's best LMB fishery... Even better than Cobossee??

Sounds like it might be worth a trip to check it out ;)

Best of the tournament class lakes. You needed better than a 4lb average in all 4 of the tournaments that were held there this summer to win. Dale and I had a 30lb 8 fish limit there in July and finished 5th or 6th. In the 2 day that we were there for in September it took 42 plus for 10 fish

We stayed here again for the TBF STQ. We had cabin #1 and were able to park 5 rigs and sleep 5 comfortably. It took over 34lbs to make the team (top 12) Lots of 5 lb fish weighed. I had a 6.61 and a 5.90  8)

34.57 for the eight spot.  My last cull was just 3 ounces. Moved me up 3 spots.
