Interesting Frank. Thanks for the info. I wonder if they would allow a night tourney there again. When we fished it at night a few years back it was a pretty decent night fishery. I guess I'll have to make a phone call or two  :)

Hmmm.. this is an interesting dilemma. I wonder if anyone can find a definitive answer for this.

Whatever agency is in charge of the gate or the park should have an answer.

Any ideas?

I was told by the dem director Dr sullavan that we can fish there at night... I think the park rangers just don't want to stay awake till we leave....but it would be worth a phone call to make sure

I am not too sure about that I have been called out of the water multiple times in my kayak and told it was 9 PM and the park was closed over the last few years.  I didn't have to even worry about getting locked in because I was parked over near the Twin River entrance.  Now I just leave at 830 so I don't get hassled.  Fishing from shore though I don't think they hassle I think it is just being out in a boat/kayak after hours that gets them upset.

I have been out on the lake many time after the park closed and have never been asked to leave. Maybe it's the kayak?

Hit it today nothing of size and everything I caught was right on shore all caught on jigs. Missed a nice one on the edge of some lily pads the fish hit the jig as soon as it hit the water and went right into the pads couldn't get it out before it spit the hook. It was real windy so I didn't fish all around the pond just hit spots I know holds fish.  May hit it a couple of more times this week with some swimbaits looking for a trout eating monster.
I fish therefore I lie.
