Hopeville today
« on: April 29, 2007, 03:37:51 PM »
My son and I hit Hopeville today for about 3 hours . Started out with the main motor quiting out . Come to find out I noticed the volt meter was reading low then the battery went dead . Figured out I had a bad fuse on the on board charger so the battery never got charged up . We started to fish in places we never fish and my son got 2 with the largest being around 2.5 , I got nothing ( bad attitude )   I did miss a few nice hits . But to tell you the truth it felt good having the boy bust my stones about him beating me  It made his day ;D ;D

Too bad the boat had problems. Good to spend quality father son time though. I have to fish that place someday. I hear you have to be carefull in your boat though with lots of hazards. You'll get them next time.

Well the boat motor drove me nuts for about 2 weeks . I had a friend who is a Merc Tec come over today and check it out . I had gone over everything I could on my own . He was there for about 5 min and found a loose conection at a plug and bang everything went back to normal , At least I now know where to look if it ever happens again Later Bill

Don't you hate it when that happens?

At least it was an easy fix though  ;)

I had soemting like that happen to me and Chris Med  at the Amos night tounie Husky put togehter last yr. We had to fish from 8:30 until 1am without a trolling motor only to find out my  wing nut was lose in the battery. Talk about feeling like a knukklehead...lol

Nice to see the boy whip up on you like that ;)
