You can do Quinny and set it up to park at Ross Hill Campground but I think they get 8 bucks to park but with the gas prices that would be a lot cheaper than going to Zoar . Later Bill

Why not C-mond? Plenty of parking($5). There is a 8mph speed limit until 10 a.m. . After that it can get crazy with pleasure boats.

To do West Thompson it cost 50 dollars for the day permit, plus another 125 dollar deposit inorder to make sure that it stays clean. If they find one piece of garbage yours or not then they keep the money. I would love to go there, but in order to do it right it is not worth it.

Yes it does. We use to have a club tourny there every year up untill they started this about 5 or 6 years ago. The bad thing is that if you don' t do it. The hunting club will usually have a day permit and will turn a tourny in. They can' t stop day to day fishing except for when they have the drag races there but any organize event is a problem.

Her is a link for directions on a map.....http://www.nae.usace.army.mil/recreati/wtl/wtlmap.htm......

And here are written directions...

West Thompson Lake is located in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, easily accessible from I-395. Take Exit 99. Follow Route 200 to Thompson Center. Turn right and go 2 miles south on Route 193. Cross Route 12 at traffic light. You are now on West Thompson Road, follow the signs to the Recreation Area or continue straight over West Thompson Dam, the parking lot is on the right.
