Pachaug ice breaker
« on: April 06, 2003, 05:24:18 PM »
Fished the ice breaker today and even though the guides kept freeking up untill about 10:00,we had some good results using the same method as I did at the quinny, but only for a couple of fish. The rest came on a small jerkbait worked threw the shallow coontail in 3 - 4 feet of water. The key was to fish a small old creek channel that was funneling the fish in and out of the shallows. These fish dropped into this zone after being caught off gaurd by the changing weather conditions. My partner and I managed to get 2nd place with 5 fish for 8-9. First was 5 for 11-8. Know if I can get rid of the wind burn and frost bite I can go by some more gear with the money.
