I took my poles for a boat ride there today. The winning sack was caught mainly on Jigs also.I fished hard for the duration, with nothing to show for it.I was one of many with a skunk in the bag.Oh Well......so goes the icebreaker........

I don't know the 2 guys names (I believe father and son). The sons name is Eric and they are from R.I. They won with 8 fish for 21lbs.. He said he dropped one about 4+ trying to flip it into the boat. Caught most of them on a jig. Their biggest was 4lbs (2nd). Second place was Steve McGhann and Chris Wade, 8 fish for around 18lbs + and big fish. (about 4-12). Third place I think was either 11 or 13lbs.

eric was a member of my bass club and is a very good jig fisherman, which is  mostly what he fishes more than anything else,  is that the amount of weight that usually wins this tournament, this was the first time i fished it, i caught one keeper on a trap, not much doing, i fished alot of water, wood, some rock , flats, deeper water, and weeds, anyone know what  type of cover these guys were fishing? mike
