Northeast U.S. Fishing Reports / Re: I need to "fun" fish more often
« on: September 16, 2016, 11:54:44 AM »
I fished Messalonskee for the first time the last week of august, what a great place. We fished in the middle of the week, boat launch to ourselves.  Biggest largemouth was close to 5, biggest smallie was just over 3.5.  Great place, cant wait to go back

Looks great Curt!!  After handcrafting one out of diamond plate alum for my boat, we discovered stringers under the deck where it needed to go, could not install it, now it sits in the corning collecting dust :(

Yup. Z18.  Took it to beach for her maiden voyage. It's an amazing rig! Love it!

Fished on Androscoggin Lake this past weekend, the fish I did find were in less than 2 FOW chasing schools of perch. The main clue I saw, watching birds dive in flooded brush. When I went to investigate I was driving over 2 to 4 pound bass in the shallows. Was a great weekend out, got to try my new jack plate.

Last year I saw a guy in a canoe on beach, he was dragging around a 3 pound plus smally on a stringer, said he was going to take it home and eat it...LOL  Oh well

I upgraded my tracker to the 70lb minnkota, was able to use the factory wire and breaker, made the install much easier and 70lbs is plenty for my TV-18, almost knock me out of the boat if your not paying attention. Also bought the long shaft for windy/rough days

Soon we will be drinking coffee and eating bfast while our trucks drive us the ramp

no fun being out on the water and the fog moves in, glad I have a GPS now. The smallest body of water, even if you know it becomes very unfamiliar, very quick

I like 5, plus most tournaments will allow a one person team.
