RJ,

Southern Rhode Island Bass Anglers (SRIBA) was gracious enough to pick me up.   I look forward to learning the local waters with these guys.  Should be a good time.

Thanks for the warm welcome - greatly appreciated!

Dale

Boating Forum / Trailer Brake
« on: February 26, 2016, 04:55:31 PM »
Hello all,

I have recently discovered a problem with my boat trailer.  Whenever I back up, the brake comes on.  I believe the problem is with the brake actuator, but wanted to bounce the problem off the fishing crowd to see if anyone has had this problem before, and perhaps share the experience.

Also, is it possible that if I simply bleed the brakes, will the problem auto-correct, or is it possible that I'll have to completely replace the Brake Actuator?  There's plenty of video help on Youtube, but I'm hoping to save a few bucks and simply bleed the brakes, which I will no-doubt try before going to the expense of a new Brake Actuator.

Your thoughts and/or experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks!

ASORI - I think I can help.

Take a look and let me know what you think.  More than happy to donate a few packs.

Well I got the boat in the water and threw some lures around the lake, that was about it.

Did see some real small bait fish gettin' popped by the bank, but couldn't get them to hit what I was throwin.  Next time.

Water temp was 52.  Overall I was impressed with the water clarity, but surprised to see how shallow it was.  Couldn't find anything over 5'.

I'm sure that pond is on fire in the summer though.

Well my first attempt at Watuppa didn't go so well.  Ramp gate was closed.  Drove 30 minutes to be denied.  Didn't see that posted anywhere on the Mass website.   Still learnin' the area here I guess.

Maybe we'll try Worden's Pond tomorrow...

New guy here.

I'm going to head over to Mass and fish South Watuppa.  First time on these waters, I'll let you know how it goes!   :hmm:

Regional Bass Fishing Tournament Listings / Looking for RI tournament club
« on: December 22, 2015, 07:36:26 PM »
Hello all,

Just moved up to Newport, RI from Virginia and I'll be looking for a tournament club come spring.  Anyone have any ideas and/or openings?

I'll be a boater so I'm also looking for a co-angler.

Thanks!
